Michelle Lee Carter

Michelle fell ill like many others during the global pandemic. Although her physicians advised that her symptoms did not suggest COVID-19, that was not the outcome. At that time, her family did not question the medical professionals. Unfortunately after more than a week of feeling ill, Michelle began to experience what she called a “breathing attack”.

She began to develop a severe shortness in her breath. Once at the ER, she tested positive for COVID-19, and was told that she had severe pneumonia, onset by the virus, that was progressing quickly. Less than 24 hours later, the supplemental oxygen provided was no longer enough and she was immediately transferred to the ICU and put on a ventilator.

Michelle battled a roller coaster of highs and lows in medical care, and on April 7th, 2020 she passed away.

Much help is needed to tackle the financial burdens that Michelle's Family will be facing for the foreseeable future as they lay her to rest, and celebrate her life.
